Finally a healthy, alternative to using Vaseline on your feet to prevent hot spots and eventual blisters! If you are still scratching your head allow me to explain.
In the marathon and hiking community there is an old trick to prevent friction, the cause of blisters, and that has been to coat one's feet and between the toes with petroleum jelly before slipping into their socks (literally). Though I myself prefer our Pilgrim Powder, many close friends of mine and fellow pilgrims prefer to grease their feet...so here we are!

I also decided on adding pure lavender essential oil!
Lavender Essential Oil is reputed to possess abundant relaxing properties. Its constituents may relieve any tightness in the muscles from the previous days hike as well. That said, our Feet Grease may also be used in a pinch as an end of day foot massage balm too, soothing those swollen doggies while the aroma calms the senses.
